Fancy a really scenic yet exciting activity in Derbyshire’s Peak District? Then come river rafting in the stunning countryside this area is famous for. This is a cracker for all hen do, stag activity and team building weekends
Jump aboard our river rafts based by the River Derwent in the Peak District. This will be an experience you won’t forget
We’ve got lots of 8 seater rafts just waiting to put a big daft grin on your faces!
The River Derwent winds through 66 miles in the heart of the Peak District, flowing through to Shadlow where it exits into the River Trent. You’ll be rafting through 4.5 miles of Derwent water between Darley Dale and Matlock Bath. To keep things interesting we’ve split this section into two parts, the upper and lower sections
The Upper Section –
After setting off from the nearby pub your group will be paddling through stunning Derbyshire countryside. You’ll be rewarded by sights of the rolling hills that give way to the rivers many twists and turns
This section provides a decent chance to practice working as a team before having a crack at the lower half
Hot day? Fancy cooling off? Go ahead – jump in and float next to the raft for a bit
The Lower Section…
The lower section is where get to take on the Derwent rapids
Small grade whitewater keeps you needing to stay sharp as you take on rapids named Town Falls and Flip Bridge
Feeling brave?? We can ramp up the adrenaline and in certain circumstances this sometimes results in your raft flipping upside down!
Gorgeous scenery awaits, you won’t have seen Matlock from THIS angle before! While you’re paddling through the Wind Tunnel you get the chance to look up at the famous High Tor Cliff where you can spot the climbers
At the end of your river trip our transport will take you back to the pub in time for some great homemade pub grub (if that tickles your fancy?)
