This is a cracker of an activity for all hen do’s and stag parties in Derbyshire and the Peak District

Jump aboard our river kayaks based by the River Derwent in the Peak District. Your group are going to really love this

We’ve got five 2 seater kayaks that are purpose built for watery fun!

The River Derwent winds through 66 miles in the heart of the Peak District. You’ll be kayaking through 4.5 miles of Derwent water between Darley Dale and Matlock Bath. This section is split into two parts, the upper and lower (see below under the pics for a description)

The Upper Section –
After meeting in the nearby pub car park, your group will be kayaking through some of the finest countryside Derbyshire has to offer. Catch sight of the rolling hills that give way to the rivers many twists and turns
This section gives a good chance to practice working with your kayak partner before taking on the lower half
Get ready – things are going to get very interesting from here on!

The Lower Section…
The lower section is where get to take on the Derwent rapids
Stay sharp through the low grade whitewater as you take on rapids named Flip Bridge and Town Falls

Feeling brave?? We can ramp up the adrenaline if you like – get it wrong and you’re in with the fishes!

Only a few get to see Matlock from THIS angle! While you’re paddling through the Wind Tunnel you get the chance to look up at the famous High Tor Cliff where you can spot the climbers
At the end of your river trip our transport will take you back to the pub in time for some great homemade pub grub (if that tickles your fancy?)

River Kayaking in the Peak District
Just sweeeeeet! The kayaking was superb and it's a great location for it
Graham - a very chuffed stag!
