Mountain Biking in the heart of the Peak District.

Well it’s no secret that we’re lucky enough to be based in one of the prettiest parts of the country. Derbyshire and the Peak District is visited by thousands of country walkers and cyclists ever year because of the stunning countryside on our doorstep.

So why not incorporate getting out and about in it for your next team building day or corporate client event? Come along and join us at our amazing centre at Carsington Water, which is a very large and beautiful reservoir.

We’ll get you kitted out with safety helmets and then it’s time to choose your bike of choice. Most of the bikes are 24 speed and we’ve also got some 21 speed comfort bikes available too – and of course all are top brands.

You can choose to cycle round the reservoir or take the bikes off site and go wherever you fancy.

There is a nice easy 3 mile route or you can take on the full 8 mile reservoir circuit which passes through some of the pretty local villages – the main trail is next to the water’s edge of the reservoir, which share some of the most spectacular views of the reservoir. And there’s all manner of water sports usually going on, so there’s plenty to stop and take a look at. There are also lots of picnic tables dotted around the reservoir, so why not stop and chill out for a bit and grab a bite to eat.

You can cycle round the main trail in about 1 hour if you’re giving it some beans, 2 hours if going at a nice leisurely pace, or give yourself 3 hours if you plan stopping for some lunch along the way.

They also link to Tissington and the High Peak Trails – so this is your chance to experience some gorgeous picturesque routes.

The centre has several options if you require catering of some kind. There’s a terrific restaurant if you’re looking for a full sit down meal and a café with some smashing local sourced options to choose from. And if the weather is being kind, why not make use of one of the many BBQ stations dotted around the centre?

As mentioned before, the reservoir plays host to some fantastic water sports, and you can see them in our On The Water section in Activities on this website. Take a look and why not book some to add onto your day with us. Come on, let’s make a day of it!
