Black powder clay shooting is a very exciting alternative to standard clay shooting. Back in the olden days black powder was used instead of cartridges and by many it’s seen as the original and traditional way to shoot – but don’t worry, the tweed jackets and deerstalker hats aren’t essential dress code!

This rewarding Derbyshire based outdoor activity enables all members of your away day to learn how to load and use the traditional black powder shotguns, before heading onto the award winning grounds to hit some clays the traditional way while filling the air with white clouds of gun smoke (this makes great photo opportunities for company newsletters and that staff notice board!)

All participants will get 20 shots each, that’s 15 breech (cartridge) load followed by 5 traditional muzzle load over 4 unique shooting stands

And for corporate groups that REALLY like things to go with a bang, you can upgrade to also shooting a real live 1/6th scale cannon from the HMS Victory! Each team has 2/3 shots with the cannon using grapeshot.577 musket balls (about a dozen per charge) to see who can get nearest to the Flagship
