Case Study: Slots UK Woodland Activities Day
BACKGROUND
Management from Slots UK contacted us to organise a team-building day designed to strengthen communication, collaboration, and morale among their team members. The chosen location was the Peak District, offering a change of environment and the opportunity to step away from the confines of the office and into the great outdoors.
The day began with a series of structured team challenges focused on both mental and physical problem-solving. Participants worked in groups to complete tasks that required coordination, planning, and trust. One of the activities involved moving objects from one area to another without allowing them to touch the ground, encouraging creative thinking and effective teamwork under pressure.
Following the morning activities, the real task began. Members of the Slots UK team completed a woodland assault course directed by experienced instructors. This challenge made use of natural obstacles and features including a stream and balance beams. Full safety equipment was provided, and the team met the challenge with enthusiasm and bravery in equal measure.
RESULT
The team embraced the activities and followed instructions throughout the day, demonstrating strong engagement and a positive attitude. Working towards common goals helped strengthen relationships across the group and encouraged collaboration outside of the usual office environment.
By the end of the day, the team had successfully completed the challenges, developed stronger connections, and returned with improved communication and a renewed sense of teamwork.
